Policy
College employees are covered by Wisconsin’s unemployment compensation law. Under this law, college employees who become unemployed, and who meet eligibility requirements as set forth by the law, may receive unemployment compensation upon separation from the college.Employees who resign, are discharged for misconduct, are medically unable to work or who fail to actively seek new work, are generally ineligible for benefits. State law determines the amount and duration of unemployment compensation benefits.
Procedures
If you wish to obtain unemployment compensation, you should apply through Wisconsin’s .Human Resources will respond to all requests for employment information that may be necessary to verify eligibility for unemployment compensation.
