As an introductory course in finance, this course acquaints students with the fundamental tools and concepts used in financial decision-making and financial management. In addition to an overview of the financial system, this course covers discounted cash flow analysis, financial ratio analysis, security valuation, risk and return, financial forecasting, capital budgeting, capital structure and other selected topics including international dimensions of finance. Prerequisites: ACCT 205; ECON 102; MATH 128 or MATH 221 or SSCI 224.
