The Cal Grant Program is funded by the state of California. The program helps California residents afford an education at a California college.

The California Student Aid Commission (CSAC) is the state agency in charge of the grant. It determines student eligibility and the type of Cal Grant the student will receive.

Available to undergraduate CA resident students including undocumented students

Formerly called BOG. California residents may be eligible to have enrollment fees waived (currently $46 per unit).

Federal Pell Grants usually are awarded only to undergraduate students who display exceptional financial need and have not earned a bachelor's, graduate, or professional degree.

Subsidized: USDE pays interest while student is in school, during grace and deferment periods; must be enrolled at least half-time and have financial need

The FSEOG program is administered directly by the financial aid office at each participating school. Not all schools participate. Check with your school's financial aid office to find out if the school offers the FSEOG

FWS provides part-time jobs for undergraduate and graduate students with financial need, allowing them to earn money to help pay education expenses. The program encourages community service work and work related to the student鈥檚 course of study.

Hancock Promise

The Hancock Promise provides local high school graduates with two years of free tuition at 伊人直播! The Promise is open to all students who enroll at Hancock immediately after graduating from a high school located in the Allan Hancock Joint Community College District. Students who are home-schooled or completed their GED through a local adult education program within the district (GED and HiSET graduates) are also eligible.

More than $2,400 in tuition and fees saved during the first two years at Allan Hancock College

The SSCG is a financial aid program for Cal Grant B recipients attending a California community college full-time (12 units or more).

Must be meeting Federal Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards

Must have an unmet need to receive the SSCG

$2,596 annually for eligible students who enroll and attend 12 through 14.99 units per term

$8,000 annually for eligible students who enroll and attend 15 units or more per term
