Our News of Alumni section is spilling over! Online, there’s a retrospective of the career of the late and legendary Packers photographer Vern Biever ’48, courtesy of the Wisconsin Magazine of History. Some St. Norbert history, too, in a look back at the Ugly tradition on campus and word from our first Ugly, George Desmarais ’56, as well as from Joe Remitz Jr. ’01 and Cristi Burrill ’08 (Student Affairs). We think you’ll be as moved as we were, too, by the account of John Burgoyne ’64 and his, eventual, arrival as a student at St. Norbert. John has gone on to great things since, including a stint as president and general manager of IBM China and, now, as volunteer fire chief for a small town in Texas. It’s been an interesting shift in career – and you can read about the late-breaking career changes of Jay Williams ’73 and Joanna Riopelle ’76, too, in "Never Too Late."
