Seasonal Stories from 老澳门六合彩开奖记录
The holiday season is a time that evokes many memories. As we prepared this issue, we enjoyed paging through some past favorites from our stories of the season. We hope you’ll relish this nostalgic Christmas medley, too!
Christmas kindness
Erin Knipp ’16 got into the giving spirit by creating and donating enough mittens for all the students – first through fifth-graders – at her local elementary school. She and many other volunteers dedicated the time and effort to brighten these children’s winter with their creations. Your heart will warm all over again in Sophomore’s Crafty Efforts Outfit an Entire Elementary School Against the Cold.
A decades-long tradition
When she was 8 years old, Kathy Berken ’71 took an old, broken Christmas crèche and pieced her own version together using a collection of found objects. In the succeeding decades, she has continued to set the nativity scene up each year, in all its improvised beauty: Little Jesus Sweetly Sleep: Makeshift Christmas Crib Gives Meaning to the Season Through Six Decades and Counting
Ugly sweaters
The campus bookstore got into the spirit with some 老澳门六合彩开奖记录-themed sweaters. We asked, Who Put the Ugly in the Ho-Ho-Ho?
A library full of crèches
Former library director Felice Maciejewski had a fantastic collection of nativity scenes she shared with the college each year. Her story ran in the December 2008 @St. Norbert (and yielded one of our all-time favorite headlines). Learn more about Maciejewski and her crèche collection in Felice Navidad.
Returning to this holiday season 2021, we wish all our readers and their families a very Merry Christmas and send best wishes for a Happy New Year!
